Partial Solar Eclipse on May 31, 2003.

Sequence from the partial solar eclipse as seen from Kumla, Sweden at 59 °7' north, 15° 7' west.

The images were taken with Olympus 2040 Zoom through my 4.5 inch telescope and combined in Photoshop.

The first and last contact were clouded out, but fortunately the most interesting part between 05.13 and 06.05 with maximum at 05.37 was visible in a clear sky.

At 05.04 the eastern sky was still cloudy.

At 05.13 the partially eclipsed sun finally became visible.

During the eclipse Venus was an easy naked eye object.
